Welcome to Sixth Grade
Dear Sixth Grade Families,
Welcome to sixth grade! I hope you are making the most of your summer and are looking forward to the new school year!
My name is Ms. Ficarotta and I am excited about teaching sixth grade this year. I spent the last 14 years teaching fifth grade at M.M.W. and before that I taught second and first grade. For those of you whom I know, I am thrilled that you are in my class again! For those of you whom I may not know, I cannot wait to get to know you!
I have two children, Jake, who is an artist and works for a clinical research company, and Alexa, who will be a senior at Bloomsburg University. Our English Bulldog, Red, is my 12-year-old fur baby.
This summer I read some really great books, relaxed by the pool, went on a girls' trip with my friends and our daughters and spent lots of time with my boyfriend, Jim, at his beachhouse in New York.
If you have not already done so, check out the sixth grade supply list so you can be prepared on the first day. Also, be sure to bring a snack, a refillable water bottle, and a book that you are reading.
I look forward to learning along with you this year and making lots of memories! See you on Monday, August 29th in room D15!
:) Ms. Tracy Ficarotta
